HIGHLIGHTS:
- Met up with Blair and Cakes (Caitlin) in the morning. Joyous union.
- In Chiang Khong, scored a relatively nice river-front guesthouse with private bathroom AND our very own pet frog who climbs out of the drain!
- Random fireworks show in Loas that we got to watch across the river from our room.
LOWLIGHTS:
- Took 7-hr bus ride to border city outside Laos. While boarding the bus, tried to find a place to put the huge backpacking backpacks but to no avail. After much confused arguing and pointing with the bus lady, the bags ended up under our feet. Actually made it a little easier to curl up to sleep though... :)
- The already sketchy bus trying to make it over a rickety bridge made of overlapping 2x4's. Ha!
- Hour 5.5 of the bus ride when Blair lays her head on the seat in front and mumbles "I just don't want to be here anymore!" Precious.

I like how you said the bus "tried" to make it over a bridge of 2x4's, so did it succeed? or are you stuck in a ditch/canyon?
