So...all the cool kids have blogs, eh? Even my niece. So I figured since just about all of my friends live elsewhere, this would be a good way to keep in touch...so I don't have to explain to people so many times that I work at a chocolate factory.
I'm gonna make some posts retroactively cause I've had a blog for a while in my head. I just hadn't done it. So let it begin.
So I'm using the Jen Scoresby Morello inspired idea of doing "highlights" and "lowlights" for my travels. The idea is that you'll be able to get an abbreviated version of the good, the bad, and the ugly. See Blair's site for more pics.

Halloween fun
My roommates.
The group we went with. Yes, the creepy guys lurking in the background are with us too.
2:50 AM
3:00 AMSo for Halloween we went to the legendary San Diego "boat dance." Yeah, if you thought church dances were bad to begin with, try going to one that starts at 11PM and makes it physically impossible for you to leave until 2AM. No, it was actually a lot more fun than I thought it would be.
I dressed up as a boy scout and we were pretty worried that they'd turn me away for cross-dressing until someone pointed out that girls can legally be boy scouts. So then we figured I'd either be a boy scout or a feminist, depending on what the need may be.

The New Place

So I scored a spot living in Solana Beach with Jen Sabin. It's so dang fun. Jamie Neuenswander lives there too and we share a room and then another chick April lives there (my 3rd roommate named April. weird). Jen, Jamie, and I are all from the same stake growing up so it's cool cause we know a ton of the same people but none of us were really friends before so it's like making all new friends.
We all get along really well. Jamie shares my distain for cooking real food and Jen shares my love of dessert so needless to say, my eating habits haven't improved. Just all the more reason to visit Mom on my way home from work. :) I also only live about 10 mins away from my dad now.
The ward is cool and small and full of random connections with people from San Diego. All in all, it's a pretty sweet deal.
