Well, technically getting here took a year+ of dating. Haha. But really, this is just about the first day of travel to get to Placencia, Belize.
LOWLIGHTS
- 21 hours from the SD airport to our final destination in Belize
- Arriving in Placencia without specific directions to our villa, only to find that really no one else in the whole city had ever heard of the name of the villa, or the street it was on.
- Finally getting to the villa, only to find out that they didn't have any idea we were coming.
- Discovering that uncertainty and lack of planning isn't quite as exhilarating to Tyler as it is to me.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Getting upgraded to first class on our flight, just cause we asked! (And mentioned that it was our honeymoon).
- Meeting Stefano, the Italiano Property Manager extraordinaire.
- Getting upgraded to the nicer, bigger floor of our guesthouse as compensation for all of the confusion. (Oops! That was just supposed to be between Stefano and us...) But now the toilet is not in the shower stall!!!

Yay! Great to hear from you! Keep the updates coming!
I don't know if you got my text, but after we left Dad's on Saturday, Kenley goes, "Well, I hope Annie doesn't waste all her money on her honeymoon, so she still has some left to come visit her niece in Alaska!"
We love and miss you!
Hello, you two! Hope you are having such a great time. Take as many pictures as you can with Tyler's phone, since your camera will have a dead battery by now. Remember my 3rules for international travel?
1. Don't get mugged.
2. Don't come back married.
I can't remember the 3rd. But now you have my permission to come back married. Enjoy the honeymoon.
Love, mom
Haha. I think you're third rule was something about international prisons. And yeah, we'll be careful of the first and third.
yeah, don't get suckered into smuggling drugs. I saw Brokedown Palace. (and you should too) Totally freaked me out.
Happy honeymooning!
